Tweeting on the mobile phone

leave a comment »

I’ve been tweeting for quite sometime already but the tweeting slowed down when Twitter stopped supporting sending sms tweets to international handphone numbers. I still tried to tweet using the mobilephone’s internet browser, but the experience is too slow. The excitement of writing somethig to tweet died down while waiting for the Twitter website to load.

I tried a few other twitter clients on my phone like Tiny Twitter and Twibble, I find those java applications are only a little faster than using the built in browser.

Then I tested Fring, which supported tweeting well, and the software stayed in my phone longer. A few days ago I tried another twitter client for my Nokia E71 … Gravity. The experience is totally different. The interface is a lot better than the actual Twitter web interface.

It’s a whole new mobile tweeting experience. Head to http://mobileways.de/gravity to check it out. The application is not freeware though, but at ten bucks, I’d say it’s a good buy.
